Men's Wedding Rings

Men's wedding rings are cheap.

That was the one fact about wedding rings I had complete confidence in. A simple man's wedding ring is cheap. It's a circle of gold. Cheap.

I was wrong and the foundation of my wedding world was shaken.

We walked into a jewelry store to look at wedding bands for me. The gentlemen handed me a ring I had always pictured I would wear: a gold band. That was it. I tried it on and liked it....then looked at the price tag. $2,000. $2 - 0 - 0 - 0.  My jaw went a little slack. and I finally told the gentlemen, "The price range we were shooting for was a lot less...."

Apparently the price of gold is going up and makes it much more expensive.

We eventually managed to find some rings that were more in our price range, but it was a challenge. My advice would be to ask about the prices before getting excited about how a ring looks.

This is generally good advice when you are buying anything besides groceries: Shop around. We went to about three different jewelers and found varying prices at all of them, even on some of the same design of ring.
