E Readers part 2

If you haven't read my previous post about e-readers you can read it here.

I was really very excited about this idea. Who doesn't like getting a new toy that will save them money? So I convinced my mother, sister, and Kacie to go look at tablets at our local Best Buy. We played with several different sizes and price ranges (The ranges were ABSOLUTELY CANNOT AFFORD
to could maybe afford) and the sizes were 7 inches to 10.1 inches.

In the commercials all of the tablets (including the Kindle Fire) look very large. You see people sitting back comfortably and reading on their e reader. I don't want to accuse anyone of false advertising, but it was a little deceptive. When we got there and looked at them it was quickly apparent that the kindle fire was too small for academic use. Reading a textbook on there would be quite cramped and difficult. For "fun reading" or relaxed reading it would be quite useful, but there's no way you could sit for long and read a text book on a screen that small.

The main downside would be that only a small portion of the page would be visible at a time. It would require flipping back and forth a lot.

At between 9 and 10.1 inches the tablet gets much more comfortable to read on, but these also turn into more expensive tablets (Back into ABSOLUTELY CANNOT AFFORD) category.
