Basic Wedding Gifts
You know that moment when you're shopping for a wedding gift to give someone, you look at their registry and decide everything is boring and predictable. If you're the wife in the relationship, you want to buy them a blender, if you're the husband you frown, think about how expensive that is, and think that's even more boring than the oven mitt.
Well, I'm here to tell you sometimes those boring gifts are exactly what a couple needs. Today Kacie was feeling too sick to go to church, so when I got to her apartment after the service we decided to make breakfast. We made some cheese potatoes, and then turned to making waffles.
First problem: no toaster.
Not a big deal, right? Because you can make them in the oven.
Second problem: Nothing to put them on in the oven.
Kacie informed me you can't just rest a waffle on the grate. So here's what we thought of in the end:
Yes, those are cake pans. And they weren't even big enough to hold our (small) waffles, so we had to use two cake pans to make our breakfast.
So, to anyone coming to our wedding, or anyone who just loves enough to make our lives a little easier....please, we could really use a toaster, or something big enough to hold waffles in the oven. Even if it sounds boring, it will make our breakfast meals way easier.
