As you may have read in my last blog I've been feeling a little under the weather the past few days, one of the many perks of working with kids you seem to catch every little thing. I had a fever of 101 the night before last so I didn't go the class yesterday. I woke up feeling feverish at 5 and called into work to tell them I wasn't coming. Then took some NyQuil and went back to bed for 7 hours, giving me a grand total of 12 hours of sleep.
The rest of the day I did my best to work on papers, so I wouldn't fall too far behind. Finally around five I got up and started organizing a few things around the dorm. I went to meet Brian to grab a bite to eat and we carried our food back to my dorm room. Being sick is no fun, but it's a little easier to deal with when Brian's around. In the middle of eating our supper the fire alarms went off, for a fire drill in our dorm. We gave each other an annoyed look. My roommate, Sarah stumbled out of her room, still wishing she was asleep, we all exchanged annoyed glances at each other and then slowly moved towards the door. After the alarms stopped we came back to the dorm and finished our supper. Then Brian pulled out my favorite TV series: Boy Meets World and we started in on the 7th season. He bought me all the seasons last year for my birthday and we've been slowly been working our way through them. I rested my head on his lap and we laughed together, I love relaxed evenings like this with him. I felt supper gross after being in bed all day and not washing my hair. I was wearing my awesome sweats that are too baggy on me, and didn't have any of my makeup on. After Brian left for the night I got a text from him that said: “ I love you a lot. I really liked sitting by you tonight. There's just something really comforting about you when you're relaxed in sweats.” My heart melted a little and I just thought to myself how blessed am I to have a man that likes me in my sweats, even when I'm sick and feel gross.
