My first post about apartment shopping was here. I am happy to report that we finally have our living arrangements figured out for the coming year and possibly quite a while after that. We got into Married Student Housing at our University!
Financially this is a pretty good deal. While we could find a cheaper apartment elsewhere, the convenience of being close to campus, and the fact that the rent includes utilities and entertainment (cable and internet access) is well worth it.
We are still waiting for our official lease and move in date. We are hoping Kacie will be able to move in very late May or early June. I graduate at the end of may, but don't start work until about a third of the way through June. I might go home for a week or so to relax before moving back up to the cities to start my job. It'd be easiest if I could store my belongings in the cities rather than moving back and forth.
Anyways, here is the apartment layout from our universities website. We're starting to look at different layouts and how we could set up our furniture. Hopefully we'll be able to tour a friend's apartment sometime this week to start planning!

If you put your bed in the main living room, you can use the other rooms for other purposes, for example, a holodeck.
