A wild goose chase..not literally but it felt like it.

Since this is partly my blog I think I have the right to rant a little on it. Here is the predicament I find myself in this afternoon. I need to get myself cleared to register for a class. Sounds pretty simple right? Ya, I thought so too but boy way I wrong. The way our college is set up the main academic buildings are all connected and a few offices are in a separate apartment type buildings. The registrars office is in one of theses apartment type buildings, as well as the languages department. I needed to get permission from the languages department to register for French101 since the only french words I know is: Bonjour, Au revoir, Oui, Merci, and combien est que Louis Vuitton sac which means how much is that how much is that Louis Vuitton purse. Anyway I needed permission for this 101 class. I talked to the languages department they where very helpful gave me 1 sheet to fill out and told me I needed to give to the registrar. I waited in line to speak with the registrar for 15minutes when it was my turn I gave him my sheet and he informed me he'd never seen this sheet before and I needed to go to the languages department. I informed him that is where I just came from. He told me I needed more paperwork. So I walked the 6 steps up to the languages department. She gave me something to give to him and this also did not suffice. I asked him what would keep me from registering for this class. He told me I needed a Professors signature. At this point I was a little frustrated and I wanted him to journey the 6 steps up to the languages department so they could sort this little thing out with communication. Finally the lady in the languages office just signed the paper herself and said here since you don't need this. I brought the sheet down to the registers office and BAZINGA! It worked! Got cleared for registration. Why do people have to make things so difficult?
